Enjoy this quick tip from organizational expert, Katrina Teeple and get a handle on your in box once and for all. If a stranger couldn’t tell whether your desk top was made of wood or glass – at a glance, this is the tip for you. Not only will this help you handle the in flow of paper, but it will help keep the surface of your desk clear for the work that your day brings. Outside of the tips discussed here, it might be useful to talk to Green facilities to keep your office space clean and organized. Sometimes it can be helpful to have professionals organize things for you. But if you love to do it yourself then continue reading!

You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish when you can see the surface of your desk! Personally, I’m a recovering multi-tasker when it comes to projects on my desk. I’ve even designed an entirely new work space with the help of a new office shed. I love it; the views are spectacular and I feel like there is now more of a divide between my home and work life. Plus, it’s given me more space to be organized and fits a beautiful desk that I want to be able to see! I use office partitions to keep myself separate from the other side of the shed so that I am fully focused on just my work. Studies show that 97% of us are NOT good at multi-tasking. 97%! Hello denial! Here’s another thought for you if your in box looks anything at all like mine; get help! Seriously, delegate, deflect (toss) and deal with as much of the flow as you possibly can – immediately.

I’m convinced that clear desks belong to the ruthlessly decisive amongst us (that doesn”t include me). On my journey to in box bliss, I am painfully aware every time something new comes my way and I find myself thinking, “Hmmm, this could be good for later.” I can no longer afford this kind of luxurious thinking. I have reached an age where even if I live to be 150, there won’t be enough “laters” to complete all of my deferred ideas. I need way more organization in my home office, getting my own shed can actually be a blessing for me, everything is contained in one area, giving me a better chance at seeing what I do and don’t need, plus I get to have it just the way I want it by looking at some, and talking about – Shed Interior Ideas, getting my inspiration from there and other sources.

I guess that’s why I have you. At least here, on these pages, I can dream and explore ideas I might never have gotten around to without you. Thanks so much for stopping by. Let me know what you think about this tip. I’ve been working with it for about 6 months now. Gotta run. There are a few “laters” calling out from the surface of my desk right now and they are starting to work my nerves. If there’s enough room, they’re destined for my in box. If not, well . . . let’s just say there’s always room in recycling!
