Daphne Wayans, gorgeous mother of five, former wife of Keenen Ivory Wayans, and Huffington Post Blogger sits down for some frank Mom Talk about being an only child, her love of family, raising great kids and home schooling! Join me in Daphne’s Encino, California home for a free ranging, fire side chat. Gracious, gorgeous and genuine, Daphne opens up about her views on raising, happy, heathy kids and includes advice to first time moms, too.

What a gift to get the relaxed and loving perspective of a mother of five. When I was growing up, my parents had dear friends who were raising five boys. I don’t know how she did it, but Sue, the mother of all those mischief makers, always had time to talk to me, make a slice of her famous cinnamon toast, help repair the fish pond or teach me to refinish a dresser. I look back now, and realize, she didn’t have the time. She made the time. Daphne gives you the same feeling. A feeling that you are accepted, understood and loved.

Becoming a mom isn’t really hard. Being a good mom requires some effort, humor and patience. Being an amazing mom demands a self love so strong, so fierce that anyone can feel it when they come into range. Daphne radiates that kind of fierce love that allows you to relax in the knowing that it IS all good. It’s a gift. It’s a gift and she shares it freely. Thank you Daphne. There may not be a motherhood manual, but we all learn and grow through our experiences with each other. Here’s a place to take some notes.
