Romantic Music – Top Jazz Picks For Your Valentine’s Day Play List
There is so much amazingly gorgeous, romantic music to choose from! Here’s a list of some of the pieces we’re playing around here. This music works well together and pulls heavily toward vintage jazz standards. I’ve just discovered Sara Gazarek. I heard her on So This Is Love on the local jazz station. She immediately captured my ear. You’ll love her on Unpack Your Adjectives, too – a tune pulled from the School House Rock library.
I tend to fall in love with a whole CD more than individual songs, so my picks here tend toward a recommendation for all of the songs on a particular CD. Having said that, there are usually one or two that don’t hang with the others, but the CD as a whole has more favorites than fails. If nothing else, take a moment to follow the link and listen to some samples. It will set the mood for picking out your own favorite tunes or stimulate your imagination as you plan what you’ll make for dinner, or where you’ll dine on the 14th. Paris anyone?
