Good news!
In case you haven’t heard, an anonymous donor has graciously donated $150,000 to keep our local jewel OPEN! Woohoo! It is with tremendous gratitude that I received this news. While it is important to celebrate our communal good fortune, it is also important to note that this tremendous gift must be used to “prime the pump” – a lesson I learned right here in the park from a young docent named Anneka.

As we express our gratitude by visiting our park and taking an extra minute or two to focus on our treasured memories spent enjoying this historic oasis, let us continue, collectively to raise awareness and funds to keep the park from facing the same fate, NEXT year! While some of our beloved state parks slated for closure, will similarly be saved through generous donations, hard work and or collective efforts, others sadly will not.
If you are interested in helping keep our state parks open go to SaveStateParks.org for more information. To contribute directly to the fund for Los Encinos (there is an operational shortfall of approximately $60,000 for the coming year alone), please consider a donation today los-encinos.org
