Hard Rock Café Gets A New Menu

Hard Rock Café’s New Menu Review

There were so many new menu items to taste, try, sample and savor, I wondered if I would ever be hungry again! The evening started with passed hors d’oeuvres and a new Mojito made with Hendrick’s Gin, St. Germain, cucumber and mint. Fresh and refreshing. I thought, I’d just take a sip and then relinquish my drink to a passing tray, but that strategy went out the window, the moment I tasted this cocktail. Delicious!

After a little mingling, the assembled media guests were invited into the private dining room where a buffet was laid out for us to photograph the stars of the evening and prepare us for the courses of tastings yet, to come! There were nachos, three new signature Margaritas, including watermelon and pomegranate followed by a light salad to cleanse the palate before the Salmon course.

The burger course, 3 burgers and a grilled veggie stack on Ciabatta bread was accompanied by a flight of beers! Beginning to feel full during the salad, I only sampled one beer, the lightest in the flight and found it to be the perfect accompaniment to the bites of burgers! Hard Rock still has their classic burger, but has added a Fiesta Burger featuring guacamole and the Tango Burger, my personal favorite. The grilled veggie choice was also a favorite.

The next course, was the Smoke House course, with Barbecued Ribs, Brisket served on toasted sourdough and Chicken Wings. All of the meats marinate for hours (up to 18) before being cooked and served to you. The ribs were literally falling off of the bone and even though I thought I couldn’t eat another bite, I ate all of the ribs on my plate. Unbelievable. These guys are serious!

The desserts are pretty much a blur as there was this Caramel/Guiness milk shake type beverage served before a trio of plated sweets and followed by an intoxicating coffee drink with Tia Maria and Bailey’s topped with Caramel Corn! Can you say Taxi? Fortunately, both of our local Hard Rocks are located by great public transportation. The Metro serves Universal City and Hollywood Highland. So wether you underestimate how much you’re drinking or merely inducing a food coma, you can enjoy the excess without the embarrassing booking photo of other Rock-n-Roll legends before you.
