Gluten Free Appetizer Recipe Demonstration.

The EncinoMom Team visited the teaching kitchen at Studio City’s, CookLA. We cooked up and taste tasted recipes from Chef Liz Alexanian’s Gluten Free Sides and Appetizers menu. Products from Udi’s Gluten Free line were featured ingredients in the recipes. First, we caught up with Suzanne Wolke from Udi’s. Suzanne showed us how to make GF cinnamon pita chips then we sat down for some straight talk about the whys and wherefores of being Gluten Free.

Next, we got a cooking skills lesson from Chef Liz. I made up a batch of Roasted Grapes and Goat Cheese Canapés with Spiced Pecans (one of the Gluten Free Appetizer Recipes we tested). Watch the video to get the flow of the recipe See how I was able to avert disaster with the help of Chefs Liz and Adam!

What a great place to work. Cook LA’s got a huge teaching kitchen that’s clean and well organized. You can easily find what you’re looking for once you know what you’re doing. If you have a chance to take a class here, you’ll find plenty of assistance and gentle guidance without hovering or panic.

Not only did we explore what it means to be Gluten Free and why, but we picked up some great cooking skills, from Chef Liz AND did we mention? We got to taste test everything! (It bears repeating.)
